Accessibility Statement

ForgeSkills is intended to be usable by as many people as possible, including learners who use assistive technology. Professional learning is not much use if people cannot get to it.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the public website, the Learner Portfolio and the Employer Platform. In practice that means:

• pages work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
• headings, lists and form labels are marked up so screen readers can announce them
• text and interface colours meet contrast requirements against their background
• text can be resized and pages reflow on small screens without horizontal scrolling
• images that carry meaning have text alternatives
• courses are text-based and can be read at your own pace

Certificates of Completion and course brochures are generated as PDF documents. Some documents produced before our current process may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need a document in another format, contact us and we will provide one.

ForgeSkills assessments are untimed multiple-choice assessments that can be attempted more than once, so learners are not disadvantaged by reading speed. If you need an adjustment to complete an assessment, contact us before you start the course and we will discuss what we can do.
